Ready to Find a New Best Friend?
Choosing to add a pet to your family is a big decision. Pets add lots of laughter and fun to our lives, but they are also a big responsibility. Sometimes adopting a pet may be too much of a commitment if other life-changes are occurring at the same time. We take great care to make sure our animals find a loving, forever home. Take our “Ready to Find a New Best Friend Quiz” to see if this is a good time to add a pet to your family.

8:00 a.m. - Whenever you finish :-)

The fourth annual Humane Bike Ride & Wine Tasting will be held August 15, 2015 benefiting the Humane Society of Southeast Texas dogs and cats. "Two Broke Girls who want to make a difference" (and are!) is once again organizing this event. Thank you, Rose and Kristen! The ride begins at Bruno & George Winery, 400 Massena Road, Sour Lake, Texas with three routes: an 18-mile route, a 30-mile route, and a 47-mile route. All begin at 8:30 a.m. Roads will be marked and maps will be provided. All riders must wear a certified helmet and obey all traffic laws. Lunch will be provided followed by a wine tasting when you are ready. Wine will be provided by the Bruno and George Winery (THANK YOU!). You may pre-register at the Kickstand Bike Shop at 6366 Phelan Blvd., Beaumont (at the Colonnade Shopping Center) and the pre-registration fee is $25.00. You may also register the morning of the event at the Bruno and George Winery in Sour Lake (400 Massena Road) beginning at 7:15 a.m. Come have a great time enjoying a wonderful bike ride, taste some great wine, and have lunch - all the while helping the "babies" at the Humane Society.
